Siya Evînê

"Siya Evînê" ( The Shadow of Love ) is a novel about the life of the Kurdish intellectual Memdûh Selîm Begê Wanî. It recounts his days in Van, in Istanbul, in Antakya, and finally, his years of exile abroad.

At the center of this work is his love for Ferîha, a Circassian girl. Yet the fate of the Kurdish enlightener remains unchanged: sad and without prospects.

A life in exile, the impossibility of fulfilling love, inner conflict, hopelessness and foreignness become the center of Memdûh Selîm Beg's existence.
