Nisanci

Nişancı tells the story of the Şêx-Said uprising (1925) from two perspectives: from the point of view of loyal units and from that of the insurgent militias .

The focus is on a young man whose life takes a radical turn with the start of the uprising—caught between loyalty, survival, and conscience . The novel follows the events from the outbreak of the revolt to the death of Şêx Said , interweaving combat experiences with the fate of the civilian population caught between the fronts.

The tone and structure aim for immediate contemporary relevance ; motifs of love and honor emerge again and again, making the historical material personally tangible.
