His father came from Kirîva in Gurdilana Sêrt, which is why he bore the poetic epithet \"Gurdilî\". He studied at the madrasahs of Kurdistan and received his teaching license in 1960 from Seydayê Mele Ebdulayê Sergewra. From 1959 to 1978, he worked as a mullah in Aqûba near Bismil. Later, he worked in the building department in Diyarbakır. He died in 2020.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHis love for his homeland developed under the influence of Cîgerxwîn's poems and was particularly shaped by the struggle of Mela Mustefa Barzanî and his companions. In 1958, he began writing poetry. In addition to his artistic and scientific work, he was politically active and became a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Turkey (PDK-T) in 1965.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSeydayê Gurdilî wrote poems about the national struggle, love, sorrow, social events, as well as about famous personalities and fallen heroes of Kurdistan. He saw himself as a successor to Ehmedê Xanî and Seydayê Tîrêj. His first poetry collection, Banga Yekîtî bo Azadî, was published in 2012 by Nûbihar Verlag.
