Legendary Kurdish Tales

This work, titled "Çîrokên Efsaneyî yên Kurdan" ("Legendary Kurdish Tales"), is the result of many years of meticulous collection. The author gathered these traditional stories through oral accounts from numerous individuals and documented them with great care.

To preserve the original character, linguistic naturalness, and cultural dignity of the narratives, their language was not altered. The plot, narrative style, and structure of the stories also remained in their original form. As a result, the stories encounter readers in their authentic and folkloric guise.

Of particular value is that detailed information was recorded for each narrative: the region from which the story originates, the name and age of the narrators, their profession and living conditions, and the date of recording. These details make the work a significant folkloric and historical source.

"Çîrokên Efsaneyî yên Kurdan" is thus far more than a simple collection of stories – it is a contribution to the preservation of the cultural memory and oral heritage of the Kurds for present and future generations.
