The Soviet Kurdologist Celîlê Celîl has published his research on Kurdish history, folklore, and literature in Russian, Armenian, Kurdish (Kurmanji, Sorani), Arabic, Turkish, and German. Originally from Yerevan in the Armenian SSR, he now lives in Vienna and continues his academic work on Kurdish studies at the Academy of Sciences.
